Hi there,
Just thinking of reviving my blog. Its been two years since I last updated my blog due to business.
Why did I named my blog 'travelling light'?
This is because I believed that in this life we carry many baggage, baggage that are not meant for us to carry;
- our guilt
- our shame
- our fear
- our feeling of hopelessness, depression, anxiety
- our worry
So I am making a commitment to live this life without these extra baggage.
I also will add more pictures and share with you guys what had been happening in my life.

Matang jungle trail in Sarawak

When I was back in Kuching, I went to jungle trail in Matang wildlife centre. The jungle trail is about half an hour journey with waterfall in the middle of the jungle. Also, I nearly get lost in the jungle. Anyway, I went there together with Jason (my best friend in S'wak), Daniel (my bro) and Amy (my sis). In the journey, I was leading the way and it is a fun experience. If any of you are interested to go there, please let me, if I'm back in Sarawak, I can bring you there. Here the pictures.

I want to use this oppurcunity to thank Melissa for letting us to stay at her house during the Ipoh trip. Thanks for the transportation and the belnaja as well. We really eat a lot of good food and we really have a great time. Thanks Melissa, you are such a good host. Come to Kuching next time, I'll repay the favour ^_^

My first prom night on my 23rd birthday

On the 25th May 2009, I have two significant events that happen to my life. First of all is my birthday and second, it is the date in which I participate in my first prom night. My date for that night is Charlene Lim, my classmates in my pharmacy course. The jacket (Forever 21) that I used is given for my birthday present by my cell group and church members. So I wanna thank them for a wonderful birthday gift, thanks for making me look great. Haha... Overall we have a wonderful time with a lot of dances and singing performances. I enjoy the food and atmosphere there. Hopefully next year I will be able to attend another prom night and this time crown as prom king. Haha... Just kidding

On the 26 till 28 of May 2009, a group of us ( Year 3 and Year 4) went to Perhentian Island for holiday for relaxation after a hectic & busy semester. The trip cost us RM450 which include lodging, food, transport & snorkeling but it is well worth it cause we really had an enjoyable time. While snorkeling, we saw beautiful corals, fishes like Baracuda, Garupa, Parrot Fish & Nemo, baby sharks and turtles. The beach is sandy white and the sea water is crystal clear. Feel like as if you are in heaven when you are in this island. Hopefully I will be given a chance to come back for holiday in Perhentian. Thank you Suk Yen for organising this trip, It really has been a memorable & wondeful experience for me.

On the 27th April, we have CG outing at Sri Nirvana which is famous for its banana leaves rice. It is quite affordable with one set to be about RM5. Somemore, the food is delicious, especially love the fried bitter goats. Me and Zi Xin eat with our hands. I believe food will taste better if you eat it naturally with your hands. Ok enough talking here the pictures.

Tribute to Alloy at Jogoya

On the23 April 2009, Kah Choon, Ashlee, Yap, Zi hui, Melissa, Amanda, Aloysius and me went for supper at Jogoya which is a Japanase restaurant which is situated in Starhill which is next to Pavillion. We could not go for dinner because its fully booked so we could only go for supper at 9.30pm. Furthermore, we have to line up just to enter Jogoya. This give me nostalgic memory during my shool days in which I have to wait for food at school canteen. The food there is not bad, didn't really meet my expectation since I got very good impression about Jogoya previously. However, I did still enjoy my time fellowship with my friends and I like the atmosphere inside Jogoya. Toast to Alloy, may he do great things in Canada.

On the 21st April, a group of us went to YakiYaki to celebrate the end of our quizes. The food is better than i expected, we eaten lamb, squids, fishes, fresh salmons, oysters, coconuts, jellies, ais creams, spaghetties, jelly fishes and so many more. Quite long since I eaten until so full. Not sure if its better than Jogoya, cause never been there. Will let you know after I went there ^_^. So here the pictures.

Last Saturday, me, Jacob, Yap and Amanda watch the movie 'Fireproff' at 0506 goldclass cinematic theater. I can guarantee to you that you can't find better sound effect and graphic in this cinema. If you want to book the tickets, please contact miss Amanda Ooi. ^_^ Ok, back to the review, since this movie is from the creator of 'Facing the Giants', I have great expectation for this movie as the previous moving is very touching and inspirational. This story start with a scene where a couple were having a serious argument which causes them wanting a divorce. Kirk whose job is a firefighter, began to wonder if their marriage are really working out and he thought that maybe divorce is the best option for him to escape from the misery that he was having now. Don't know where else to go, Kirk confide to his father about his marriage problems to his dad and his father began giving advice to him on how to fix their marriage. His father dares him to accept the 40 days love challenges which contain the things that he need to do to win back his wife. So, he accept the challenges and start doing the things that the forty day challenges ask him to do. What are the forty days challenges is about? Will it all work out? Can he win back his wife? Can be safe his marriage from burning down? Haha... watch the movie then you'll know. See you in the cinema.

7. Remember other people's birthday

Hey there, sorry for didn't update for a long time, lately busy with studies and assignments. Promise will give you guys more pictures this weekend.

I just want to share a testimonial. Today as i walk back from puncak Banyan from Yueh Teng place, I nearly get knocked and runned down by a car. When I cross the road, i saw that there is no car but unknown to me, there a speeding car coming towards my direction.

Thanks God Jasmine was beside me and she reflectively pull me away from the car. If not, probably you will see me in tomorrow newpaper with different parts flying all over. I was shock and stun, then, the realisation come to me that I have cheated death once again. Really thank God for his protection on me, if not probably I won't be here anymore to annoy you guys anymore. (alloy and dada)

Make me realise how I often taken life for granted. We are just like flowers that quickly fades, here today and been gone tomorrow. Our life is very fragile, there is no guarantee for tomorrow. We may never know if today is our last day. So from now on, I will live life to the fullest, appreciating that each day;

is a gift,

is a blessing,
is a oppurcunity to love others,

is a day to make a difference in someone else life.

Just want to share the pictures I took during the Chinese New Year.

Can you be too clean?

Is it possible to be too clean? Yesterday, one of my dad friends tell us a funny story about her ex-roomate who is too obsess with cleanliness. She told us that her roommate is so clean obsess that she would even go all the way to the bank just to exchange any dirty ringgit notes that she have just received. I wonder where she find the enegy to do that? Furthermore, she would also wash her keys and hands with dettol or alcohol each times she used it. My mum add on that she also have a relative who have similar obsession with cleanliness also. My mum told us that that she would throw away any socks even though she have used it once only. Also, my mum say that generally, relatives will tend to avoid visiting her because she is so clean conscious until the extend she only allowed those who had just taken their bath to sit on her sofas.

The result? From what I heard, this people does not have many friends and generally people will feel uneasy being around with them. From what I heard they live quite a depressing live being in bondage to their cleanliness tendency till they can't enjoy their lives. So my next question is 'Is it a mental disease?'. So I search wikipedia and it is term as obsessive compulsive disorder (COD) and it says that the main symptoms for the disease is that OCD sufferers need to performs tasks or compulsions to seek relief from obsession-related anxiety. For example like the need to wash hands at short intervals or the need to check if the door is lock many times before going to sleep. For the two case studies as discussed (sorry if I being too formal haha)..., they suffer from fear of contamination. Because of this fear, they fear to venture to public places and they can't conduct normal social relationship. Also, studies find out that those who are too clean consious will easily fall sick because or their weak immune system. This is because, their bodies are not accumsted to fight against microbes and bacteria. Look like we still need a little bit of durt in our lives. Haha....

My opinion? I think that cleanliness is a good thing because being dirty will generally give you a bad image and people will want to avoid you too. Just like eating too much honey will give you stomachache, too much cleanliness wil also cause you to have headache. So in my opinion, just with any good thing, I think there should balance and moderation in cleanliness so that it will not lead to obsession and messed our lifesytle.
